Telensa manufactures its 2 millionth telecell at the SONY UK Technology Centre, Pencoed, Wales.
“This milestone isn’t just about the production of our two millionth telecell. It’s a celebration of our team, customers and partners who have all helped in taking that step towards a smarter city, creating millions of pounds worth of energy savings and carbon reduction.” said Brent Hudson, CEO, Telensa. “I look forward to further collaboration between the Telensa team and our customers to make more sustainable, data-driven cities.”
Since our first city-wide deployment in 2010, Telensa’s smart streetlight footprint grew to one million by 2015, fast forward to 2020 and this has nearly doubled, securing Telensa the Global #1 position. The increase in deployments has been driven by the solid business case smart streetlights present: auditing LED performance, maximising energy savings, creating maintenance efficiency and providing a foundation for further smart city sensing. To hear more about the future proof infrastructure smart street lighting provides, watch the below interview with Will Gibson, Founder & CCO of Telensa:
